Queen Elizabeth Hall Roof Garden
Discover an oasis in the heart of central London, at the Southbank Centre's summer Roof Garden on top of the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
This peaceful space on top of the iconic Queen Elizabeth Hall has become a much-loved feature of the Southbank Centre, especially on sunny summer days. Home to over 200 wild native plants, a luscious lawn and gorgeous views across the river, this is an ideal spot to spend a quiet afternoon lost in a book.
The garden, originally a partnership with the Eden Project, was built and continues to be maintained by volunteers from Grounded EcoTherapy, a group that offers people dealing with issues like homelessness and addiction help through horticulture.
Note that the Roof Garden may be closed during bad weather and is also occasionally used for private events.
