Journeys of Discovery
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Vasily Petrenko present Journeys of Discovery
What does it mean to be human? What is our place in the world? What are we dreaming of? These are fundamental questions that humans have pondered for centuries and composers have attempted to answer through music and which the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra explores in this enthralling series.
From Berlioz’s wild and unpredictable Symphonie fantastique, through masterpieces such as Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and Elgar’s Cello Concerto, a kaleidoscope of sounds greets you at the Southbank Centre.
