Florence Nightingale August Open Weekend
Join Florence Nightingale for their August Open Weekend.
At the Florence Nightingale Museum you will find out all about Nightingale; one of our greatest Victorians, the founder of modern nursing, a healthcare pioneer and also discover more about her lasting legacy. You can see the lamp she carried during the Crimean War, her medicine chest, her best-seller ‘Notes on Nursing’ and also her pet owl, Athena!
Nightingale’s legacy has never been more relevant: she founded modern nursing and instigated Wash Your Hands and cleanliness regimes. You can donate to help the Florence Nightingale Museum survive, click here to do so and find out more.
