COVID-19: 4th July South Bank Update
Now that some South Bank venues and attractions are beginning to reopen, we wanted to reassure residents and visitors that to ensure their experience is as clean and safe as possible, the highest hygiene and safety precautions are being followed throughout the area.
On our homepage, you will find a map which shows you everywhere that is open in South Bank, and the nature of businesses current opening arrangements. For our larger venues and attractions, you will also find more detailed links to Covid-19 safety measures they are putting in place as they re-open.
Given the need to ensure sanitisation and social distancing measures are being adhered to, the majority of venues are likely to also require pre-booking – and many are now introducing new ticketing and booking systems to address this. Please contact the venues directly if you require further details on any policies they are putting in place.
Of course, your visit to South Bank this summer may be simply to make the most of the riverside walk, our green spaces and iconic architecture. South Bank Clean Team and South Bank Patrol will be highly visible when you visit, working every day of the week to ensure our public realm remains safe and clean. Their services include daily jet washing, sanitisation and patrolling.
Unfortunately, some of South Bank’s most famous cultural and visitor attractions have to remain closed for now, as they cannot open safely or effectively for audiences or performers under current social distancing measures. For these venues, we will continue to share their interesting digital content, so you can stay connected. We want South Bank to remain open for everyone, no matter which way you choose to visit or where you are in the world right now.
Welcome back to South Bank – and stay in touch!
