Afternoon Tea in the Library Lounge

The Library Lounge for Afternoon Tea

The Library Lounge for Afternoon Tea

Daily at 2:30pm and 4:30pm

It is only fitting for the most quintessential of English traditions to be served in one of the most historic and typically British of hotels, the London Marriott at County Hall.

Modern city living can get to even the most chilled-out of us - however, sometimes you just need to slow down and take time to smell the flowers, as they say. Indulging in a sumptuous afternoon tea, a dainty English tradition of yesteryear is perfect for transforming the city slicker in you into the distinguished, well-mannered gentleman/woman that is lying dormant deep inside.

English Afternoon Tea in the historical Library Lounge at the Marriott County Hall is the definitive place to sample one of the most delightful of English traditions and has even won the prestigious Bookatable Afternoon Tea award! The tea consists of a selection of cakes and pastries including hazelnut crunch gateaux, apricot butter and earl grey shortbread, orange and balsamic caramel tarts with crème fraîche, candied lemon & raisin scones and delicious sandwiches including roasted Angus beef and horseradish, Wiltshire ham and English mustard and of course, the cucumber sandwich.

There is a selection of different tea-time experiences on offer:

Free Flowing bubbles Afternoon Tea - £41

Gentleman's Afternoon Tea with unlimited Ale - £34

Traditional Afternoon Tea with a glass of Champagne - £38

Traditional Afternoon Tea - £36

Afternoon tea at the Library Lounge at the London Marriott County Hall is served daily from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, so go on and treat yourself and a friend or a family member to one of the loveliest ways to spend an afternoon - your table awaits!
