BFI ANNOUNCE FILM FESTIVAL
After a decade of nurturing and supporting young filmmakers, the BFI Future Film Festival today announces the line-up for the landmark 10th edition.
The Festival, which is open to young people aged 16-25 will include appearances from industry experts such as producer Rebecca O’Brien (I, DANIEL BLAKE) and cinematographer Ben Davies (DOCTOR STRANGE), as well as previous Festival alumni who will speak at the Festival about their career successes.
The young filmmakers who have gained expertise and insight from the BFI Future Film Festival over the last decade have gone on to remarkable success – some of our alumni have had their films screen at international film festivals such as Sundance, TIFF and the BFI London Film Festival, while others have gained recognition with major industry awards including a BIFA in 2012, a Scottish BAFTA in 2016, and a BAFTA nomination this year. Selected young filmmakers will be available for interview about their experience with BFI Future Film, and how the Festival has helped them develop in the early stages of their careers.
