London Duck Tours donate to Evelina London Children’s Hospital

London Duck Tours have made charity donation towards London Fire Brigade’s fundraising event for Evelina London Children’s Hospital.

Charlie duck and team presented a donation of £1,000 towards an appeal hoping to raise £2.7 million to build a dedicated research facility at Evelina London Children’s Hospital.

London Fire Brigade Deputy Assistant Commissioner Andy Roe, whose son Zaki was treated at Evelina London, is behind a once-in-a-lifetime Zip Wire event next Friday 2 December, set to raise £1 million towards the appeal.

He had the idea to rig up a zip wire across the Thames from St Thomas’s Hospital to Victoria Tower Gardens, next to the Houses of Parliament. The event is also part of London Fire Brigade’s 150th-anniversary celebrations.

London Duck Tours’ Managing Director, John Bigos, said, “Evelina London Children’s Hospital and the London Fire Brigade are two organisations we hold in very high esteem.  When we heard of Andy’s fundraising idea we were enthralled and wanted to make a contribution to get the ball rolling as it were.  We wish him every success in achieving the target.”
