Evenings of musical merriment continue into December as London’s leading river boat service, MBNA Thames Clippers extends its series of live acoustic performances from the capital’s top buskers.
With the series’ first sessions met with great reviews, the additional MBNA Thames Clippers’ River Lates sets will take place on the first four Thursday evenings in December 2016. The two-hour floating festival sets from TfL accredited buskers will take place on selected MBNA Thames Clippers RB1 services.
Passengers can enjoy the musical offering while gliding through the heart of the capital and marvelling at the sparkling lights of by London’s legendary nightscape. Joining the existing timetabled services, the musicians will join the 19.35 sailing departing Embankment pier on 1, 8, 15 and 22 December and perform a two-hour set.
Whether enjoying the onboard entertainment with a drink from the bar or getting into the festive party spirit, passengers can cruise for the whole set or enjoy a few tunes as they travel between piers.
The River Lates extended line-up features:
• Thursday 1 and 8 December – Mark Mathews playing funk, indie and rock n roll
• Thursday 15 and 22 December – Phillipa Leigh, singer/songwriter and ukulele player
MBNA Thames Clippers is London’s leading river boat service, connecting many of the capital’s top attractions and providing passengers with the opportunity to take in the iconic London skyline from the river along the way.
